2. Course on Mysore Yoga Traditions

Mysore Yoga Traditions team, conducted an annual yoga conference in collaboration with Samskriti Foundation, to preserve the ancient wisdom and teachings of Aśtānga Vinyāsa Yoga. The immersion event that followed, held at the temple town of Melkote, about 40 km from Mysore city, provided participants with a comprehensive experience of yoga and its various aspects. The event created an environment that fostered the growth and exploration on the path of Yoga through a team of highly experienced and dedicated teachers led by Andrew Eppler, a highly respected yoga teacher and practitioner, who brought his expertise and knowledge to the event.

The participants were engaged in a variety of activities during the course including traditional Mysore‐style Aśtānga Vinyāsa Yoga classes led by experienced teachers guiding each participant individually. Additionally, there were workshops focussing on specific aspects of the practice, such as pranayama, meditation, philosophy and chanting. Participants had the opportunity to engage in discussions and cultural events that provided a deeper understanding of the rich and comprehensive heritage of Yoga.

The event was designed to cater to practitioners at all levels, from beginners to advanced yogis. The event offered a holistic approach to yoga, encompassing not only the physical practice but also the philosophical, spiritual and cultural dimensions of this ancient discipline.
