Book Release Event 2023
Samskriti Foundation, in collaboration with Government Maharaja Sanskrit College, Mysore, organized a special event to commemorate the release of three remarkable books by esteemed scholars. The program took place on June 30, 2023, at the Government Maharaja Sanskrit College in Mysore. The highlight of the program was the official release of three outstanding books written by Vidwan Dr. H.V. Nagaraja Rao and Smt. Tara Murthy. These books represent their deep knowledge and passion for Sanskrit literature. Vidwan Dr. P. Satyanarayana, Principal of Maharaja Government Sanskrit College, Mysore, presided over the event.
The books, titled ‘Vasantatilaka‐ Shatakam’ and ‘Subhasita‐Shatakam’ wereauthored by Vidwan Dr. H.V. Nagaraja Rao, a respected Sanskrit scholar and Editor‐in‐Chief of Sudharma Sanskrit Daily, Mysore. ‘Subhasita‐Shatakam’ comprises 100 beautiful Sanskrit verses that explore various aspects of contemporary human life, including politics, education, society and spirituality. Dr. Nagaraja Rao’s poetic talent and profound insights make this work a valuable contribution to Sanskrit literature.
The book titled, ‘Shivoham’ provides a valuable commentary on the ‘Shivamahimnastotra’, by Smt. Tara Murthy, who is a retired scientist, author, and eminent scholar. This book deals with Vedic science, spirituality, the significance of spiritual practices and meditation to lead a meaningful life. It serves as an invaluable resource for spiritual seekers and those interested in profound philosophical inquiries. The program was graced by the presence of Dr. T.N. Prabhakar, an esteemed Sanskrit scholar and retired Joint Director from the Department of College Education, Government of Karnataka. Dr. Prabhakar unveiled the books and delivered a special address praising the authors for their exceptional contributions to Sanskrit literature. Their books are expected to enrich the knowledge of researchers, teachers, students and Sanskrit enthusiasts, offering valuable insights into the language and its profound wisdom. The event provided a platform to celebrate the rich heritage of Sanskrit literature and acknowledge the immense knowledge and expertise of the authors.
