About Us
For 25 years, Samskriti Foundation, Mysore has researched and revived Bhārat’s cultural and scientific heritage. Founded in 1999 by Prof. M. A. Lakshmithathachar, it blends ancient Indian knowledge systems with modern research methods across philosophy, Ayurveda, astronomy, classical arts, linguistics, and more. By reading Sanskrit and regional-language texts through both a traditional and a contemporary scientific lens, the foundation continues to uncover insights that speak directly to today’s questions in health, sustainability, and ethical living — proving that Bhārat’s ancient wisdom still has much to offer the modern world.
What we do:
- Research — Mining Sanskrit and regional-language texts for insights on aeronautics, Ayurveda, music, linguistics, and ancient sciences
- Education — Courses for Indian and international students on spirituality, Indian philosophy, traditional agriculture, animal husbandry, astronomy, and astrology
- Collaboration — Partnering with leading research institutes to apply ancient Indian wisdom to metallurgy, chemistry, food processing, and aviation
